Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge?
We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Commercial and Industrial division, based at our site in Dalton, Thirsk.
The purpose of this role is to carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on our plant machinery. The most challenging part of the job will be when that piece of machinery breaks down, when you least expect it to, working in a small team, you will need to react and get everything up and running again in a safe and timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Hydrostatic Transmissions and be fully convers with Perkins, VM, and Cummins engines. You will also need to have a good mechanical knowledge of Side Loaders, Counterbalance Trucks and MEWPS as this forms a large portion of the work.
Health and Safety is a large part of this role, if its re-commissioning machines when they have been repaired, identifying the parts to keep the machinery running smoothly or completing the relevant permits to work.
To be successful in this role you will need to be educated to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or time served with either electrical or mechanical qualifications.
Hours of work are 6:30am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday 6:30am-12:30pm Friday.
