Job Title
A highly sought-after opportunity exists for a seasoned and dynamic Technical Manager to join our esteemed technical team in Caterham, Surrey.
This role reports directly to the Technical Director (South) and primarily involves overseeing allocated development sites to ensure timely production of commercially viable detailed engineering and architectural designs, securing all necessary statutory consents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own team and serving as a central point for commercial and technical matters to guarantee that company targets and objectives are met within established timeframes.
This position is based at our headquarters in Caterham, with travel to our sites as required.
About You
* We are seeking an individual with a degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Architectural Technology, or Architecture, ideally achieved with a grade 2:1 or 1:1 or equivalent.
* Chartered or Incorporated status is also desirable.
* The ideal candidate will possess broad technical knowledge and experience demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of their discipline, gained within a house-building business.
* A proven track record of managing and developing people is essential.
* Excellent IT skills using relevant software packages are necessary.
* Experience in managing, delivering, and adoption of development infrastructure, e.g. S104, S278, S38, would be advantageous.
* Collaboration and strengthening relationships with key industry stakeholders are crucial.
