CAD Designer / Project Manager - Commercial Kitchens
Permanent Role - £30K+ DOE - Midlands-based

What's the Opportunity?
A growing, reputable client in the commercial catering and bar fit-out industry is looking for a CAD Designer / Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Sheffield. This is a hands-on role where you'll be producing layouts, coordinating installations, and managing client projects across a variety of sectors.
This is ideal for someone with a passion for smart, functional design and an excellent understanding of commercial kitchens.
What you'll be doing as a CAD Designer / Project Manager (but not limited to):
1. Creating 2D and 3D layouts using SketchUp CAD
2. Designing commercial kitchens and bar spaces for efficiency, flow, and compliance
3. Liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors to bring projects to life
4. Managing projects from briefing through to installation and handover
5. Attending site visits and providing expert advice on catering layouts and equipment
6. Ensuring all designs meet health & safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards

Key Skills and Experience:
1. Strong SketchUp CAD design skills (2D and 3D)
2. Previous experience designing commercial kitchens, bars or catering environments
3. Understanding of catering equipment, regulations and kitchen workflows
4. Confident project management experience from concept to completion
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
6. Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
7. Full UK driving license (for occasional site visits)
Desirable (but not essential):
1. M&E or ventilation coordination knowledge
2. Familiarity with HACCP and kitchen compliance standards
3. Experience working alongside fit-out or architectural teams
