Job Description
The LCL department is my clients flag ship service and one of the departments that was instrumental in getting them to where they are now.
We are looking for an LCL Import Operator to come in and work within the LCL department. Ideally someone with some experience in import seafreight logistics, who can come in and help take the department on to the next level.
Main duties:
* Looking after LCL consols ex China to the UK
* Liaising with China offices
* Liaising with all local UK suppliers:
* Liaising with Customs Dept to arrange customs clearances
* Liaising with our own and other 3rd party ERTS and general warehouses
* Liaising with local transport companies to organise final end deliveries
* Import customs entry experience.
* Bill of Lading Experience
* Good telephone manner
* Will have customer service experience.
* Experience with Amazon import clients would be advantageous.
* The department is a team of three, with a supervisor within that team.
* Ability to easily multitask.
* Very good attention to detail, spelling, grammar, and concentration when sending correspondence, giving a professional look, feel and service.
* Overall import experience essential
* Liaising with internal accounts depts ensuring payments and client accounts are up to date prior to releasing.

My client provides a recently purchased and renovated office environment, with a nice break out area. This encompasses a modern kitchen, self-serve coffee machines, microwave, fridge/freezer. Use of TV, Pool table, ping pong table plus an arcade machine. Also use of showers and soon to come a gym. We offer one hour for lunch, plus two further 15 minute breaks subject to the line managers approval.
Position after 6 month’s probation also has a contributory pension, NHS Top up health scheme and after first full year of employment an extra day per year capped at 25 days excluding bank holidays.
