The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Business Support team within Tameside Youth Justice Service.
In this role, you will have responsibility for providing administrative and operational assistance to Tameside Youth Justice Service to support both voluntary and statutory services, supporting the primary aim of preventing offending and re-offending by children and young people.
A key component of the role will be to maintain effective relationships with Greater Manchester Police and Courts ensuring information is shared accurately and in a timely manner. As a Business Support Officer, you’ll be integral to the daily operations, providing essential support to ensure our service delivery is to a high standard. Your role will be pivotal in enabling efficiency and effectiveness across our service.
You will deal with enquiries both written and verbal, from a wide range of internal and external services, children and their families. You will be required to complete all documentation and correspondence accurately and to a high standard. Attention to detail is key and you must be able to prioritise your work, manage your time and be able to adhere to deadlines and follow procedures.
You will be required to enter and retrieve confidential information into our internal ICT systems and have excellent keyboard skills and a knowledge of various IT systems/programs.
You will be responsible for the processing and monitoring of spend requests for the service in line with council procedures using the Agresso finance system.

You must be able to show initiative and have the ability to work independently but also as part of a team, working in a busy and fast paced environment.
In addition, you will be expected to participate in the development and continual improvement of this part of the service.
