The Voice Architect (IP) is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IP-based voice communication systems within the organization. This role involves advanced work on IP telephony, VoIP, and other voice technologies to ensure high-quality and reliable voice services. Due to the sensitive nature of the projects and data handled, the position requires SC (Security Check) clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IP Voice System Design and Architecture:
Develop and design IP-based voice communication solutions that align with the organization’s goals and requirements.
Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams and technical specifications for IP voice systems.
Ensure that IP voice system designs are scalable, maintainable, and meet industry standards.
2. Implementation and Integration:
Oversee the deployment and integration of IP voice communication systems, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
3. Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IP voice system designs, configurations, and changes.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, updating IP voice projects and performance metrics.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
1. Extensive experience in designing and managing IP-based voice communication systems.
2. Proficiency in IP voice communication technologies and platforms (e.g., VoIP, SIP, IP-PBX).
3. Strong understanding of IP voice communication security principles and best practices.
4. SC (Security Check) clearance is mandatory.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Knowledge of network and voice system integration.
7. Industry certifications (e.g., CCVP, CCIE Collaboration).
