Who are we looking for?
We are on the hunt for a Joiner to join our high performing Repairs Team based in Leabrooks, are you hunting for a new challenge with an ambitious organisation and ready to join us on our mission to deliver ‘Great Places’, Great Services’, and ‘Great Tomorrows’?
This is a great opportunity to showcase your background in building maintenance and construction as you work as part of the team on a range of joinery repair and replacement works, providing a polished, tidy finish to domestic repairs, both in and around homes.
As well as being technically top notch, you’re also friendly and helpful which is just what’s needed when working in our customers’ homes.
You’ll need to have:
* NVQ level 2/City & Guilds (or equivalent) in joinery or carpentry
* Knowledge of and the skills to carry out a range of carpentry and joinery works as your main trade.
* Skills in other trades.
* The role will involve lone working, so you’ll need to be able to work on your own initiative and understand your responsibility for health and safety.
You’ll be provided with quality tools and a use of a company van for the job, so you need to have a full, clean driving licence.
A few key points from our role profile:
* To carry out a range of Joinery repair and replacement works including multi-skilled work such as repairing gutters and making good to areas when disturbed by installations, in and around domestic properties.
* Minimise disruption to customers and ensure compliance with safe methods of working in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations & FHG’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
* Maintain effective communication with the Supervisory/ administration and management staff passing on information, concerns, and problems regarding any job.
* Attend pre-arranged void jobs and/or pre-arranged responsive repair appointments to carry out work or contact customers directly to make access arrangements.
What we’ll do for you
Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon - Thurs 8:00am till 4:00pm, Fri 8:00am till 3:30pm with 30 minutes break for lunch break, paid monthly. You'll also get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays as well as concessionary holiday over Christmas!
