We need someone with exceptional organisational skills, is that you?. We’re looking for a Stockyard Operative/Driver to join our team here at Independent Forgings Alloys Ltd. We’re growing as an organisation and looking for more likeminded people to contribute to our continued success.
Independent Forgings and Alloys is unique in the heavy engineering world, but don’t just take our word for it because we’re trying to impress you – google us! We have a very clear vision of ‘Success Through Integrity’ and we believe you can be a part of that too.
A strong attention to detail and taking pride in your work will be highly valued here at Independent Forgings. As a Stockyard Operative/Driver no two days will be the same, we can be sure of that. It’s a busy job day to day, of loading and unloading lorries in the stockyard, checking materials and weights against paperwork and general housekeeping in and around the Stockyard. On occasion you may be asked to deliver parts to local customers and suppliers meaning a full CAT B driving license is a requirement of the job. You’ll soon become an integral part of the business moving stock around site to ensure its in the right place, at the right time and with the right people, drawing on your organisational skills and attention to detail.
So, I guess we should let you know what we’re going to be looking for in applications. Ideally, you’ll have a general awareness of manufacturing processes and if you have worked in a forging environment before, that would be a huge bonus! If you’re self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills, flexible and able to work well in a team environment we want to hear from you.
We’re a community of experts who take care of each other. It’s not just us that says that - Terry, a Technician often says how much he appreciates the support and loyalty from his colleagues. We also offer health and wellbeing benefits, plus a few savings on shopping here and there. Dare we even mention the free tea, coffee and milk!
If you’re fancying your chances, but you’ve not got a CV or it isn’t up to date don’t let that stop you from applying – having something to work with is better than nothing. We’ll then cross the CV bridge together if we need to. The only thing we would say is we might give you a call, so just make sure before applying your contact details are up to date.
