Maths Learning Support Assistant – Permanent Role Location: Secondary School in New Mills Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Permanent A well-regarded secondary school in New Mills is seeking a Maths Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of Maths who are passionate about helping students develop their confidence and skills in the subject. About the Role: Supporting students in Maths lessons to reinforce key concepts and improve understanding. Working with small groups and individual students who need additional support to reach their full potential. Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging Maths activities. Helping to track student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly. Encouraging a positive attitude towards learning and building students’ confidence in Maths. The Ideal Candidate: Has a strong knowledge of Maths and enjoys working with young people. Has experience supporting students in an educational setting (preferred but not essential). Is patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with students. Can work collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance student learning.
