Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Swindon Borough Council, Childrens Assessment & Child Protection Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
•Assessment and Child Protection Service (ACP). The ACP team undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection
•Carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies, gathering information for the assessment and analysing the potential risk to any child or young person
•After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long Term Locality Teams
•37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
•3 month Temporary Contract
•Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
