Description Key Roles/Responsibilities: Assist with the development of the management system for Environmental, Health and Safety policy and practice with the implementation of new procedures where appropriate. Champion proactive reporting using MySafe near miss reporting system to drive site wide improvements. Analyse incident reporting KPIs to identify trends to guide EHS performance improvement. Support and lead accident investigations with a multi-departmental team and monitoring CAPA status and closure Maintain an overview of the overall risk assessment framework (General workplace, Manual handling, COSHH, DSEAR, fire risk assessments, etc.) and providing assistance / coaching to operational departments to ensure risk assessments are suitable and sufficient. Assist departmental representatives to ensure all appropriate risk assessments and procedures are implemented, reviewed and stored on the document management software. Carry out site wide workplace inspections and contribute to the operational excellence programmes with respect to EHS integration and behavioral based safety. Attendance at departmental EHS meetings to provide advice and support to managers and EHS representatives with their departmental EHS performance. Auditing of risk management systems for compliance with current and emerging health and safety legislation. Improvement of general EHS systems by reviewing and improving written codes of practice, design standards and general policy statements Maintain and update other relevant EHS records. Assist with regulatory and compliance audits. Completion of internal audits to evaluate EHS systems with improvements suggested. Assists in the correct selection of PPE and RPE Deliver internal EHS training programmes and toolbox talks to relevant teams.
