Beauty Therapy Technician

Hours: 20 hours per week. You will be required to be at work for a total of 720 hours per year. This will usually be completed on 3-4 days over a period of 36 weeks based around student term times. Holiday, including entitlement to Bank Holidays and Closure Days, will be taken outside this working time, unless by prior arrangement with your line manager
Salary: In the range of £23,445 - £25,916 per annum pro-rata, actual salary in the range of £10,104 - £11,169 per annum (Dependent on skills, experience and qualifications)
Reporting to: Curriculum Manager – Hair, Beauty and Associated Therapies
Primary Location: Northampton, Lower Mounts/Daventry

The Team
The School of Academy, Public Sector and Commercial Enterprise (APC) supports over a thousand students studying across nine curriculum areas. The Hair and Beauty curriculum team are passionate about delivering an excellent range of full time Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications in all aspects of hairdressing, beauty and spa therapy and media and theatrical make-up as well as a number of smaller qualifications in complementary therapies, nail technology and hairdressing for both 16-18 year olds and adult learners.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to come and join our team to support across the programme offer, at Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy. This will involve working as part of the technician team to plan, maintain and organise equipment and resources for use within the department to ensure the smooth running of the salons.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
* Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in Beauty Therapy/Hairdressing.
* Experience working within the Beauty industry.
* A passionate commitment to helping young people at the start of their college journey develop the beauty therapy skills they need to succeed in the Hair and Beauty industry.
* An innovative and creative approach to meeting student needs.
* A demonstrable ability to contribute to the values and activities of the curriculum team.
