What you’ll do
We are now looking for a Finance Business Specialist who will support Vodafone Business Platforms and Solutions (VBPS) and Technology Solutions (VBTS) Operating and Capital Expenditures.
You will be responsible for analysing time sheet data for capitalised overheads allocations to development projects, recharges to other Vodafone operating companies (Opcos) and customer costs of sales. You will also assisting more senior colleagues in the monthly management accounts reporting processes, budget cycles and any ad-hoc analysis as required.
Some other accountabilities will include:
• Provide monthly analysis and reporting for the Vodafone Business Capitalised overheads processes. Developing more efficient processes with the Business _VOIS (Vodafone offshore services)teams to improve accuracy and timeliness. Making sure all is compliant and in agreement with Group Accounting controls. Managing the required approvals.
• Build strong information flows and working relationships with key stakeholder groups, both within the functions we support and the Commercial teams they in turn support within Vodafone Group and the Vodafone Operating companies (Opcos). Building relationships with these teams is critical in enabling the successful delivery of this role.
• Manage the _VOIS support processes for the monthly management accounts production. A number of the teams we support are located in _VOIS, we need to manage the recharges received for the resources employed from VOIS and review their forecasts.
• Any other tasks that could reasonably be expected of you to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the VBTS and VBPS management accounts and reporting.
Who you are
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA at least part qualified and looking to complete a professional accounting qualification
• Experience across a wide range of financial disciplines (FP&A, business partnering, operational, commercial)
• Engaging, intellectually curious, challenges existing thinking to initiate and embrace new ways of working.
• Working knowledge of key accounting principles/standards (IFRS) and how to apply them in a practical, commercial environment.
