Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK. As a Warehouse Supervisor at Taiko Foods, you will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective processes. You will be responsible for managing the warehouse team, ensuring safety compliance, optimising inventory, and overseeing the picking, packing, and shipping of products. Team Supervision: Manage the warehouse team, including overseeing daily activities, assigning tasks, and ensuring productivity and efficiency. Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure they understand and adhere to company procedures and safety standards. Monitor team performance, address any issues, and ensure staff meet company expectations. Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate recording and tracking of inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Conduct regular stock checks and ensure discrepancies are quickly identified and resolved. Assist in coordinating stock movements and ensure proper organization of warehouse spaces. Order Fulfilment: Supervise the picking, packing, and preparation of orders to ensure they are completed accurately and on time. Ensure orders are prioritized according to production and customer schedules. Review and verify product quality to ensure compliance with Taiko Food’s standards before dispatching. Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the receiving of incoming raw materials and packaging, ensuring the proper inspection and documentation of goods. Ensure all outbound shipments are correctly packed, labelled, and documented. Assist with coordinating stock transfers between warehouses or from third-party suppliers. Quality Control: Ensure that products leaving the warehouse meet established quality standards. Address any quality concerns with the team and work with the Quality Assurance department to resolve issues quickly. Safety and Compliance: Enforce health and safety standards within the warehouse, ensuring that the team adheres to safe practices and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary. Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization, including maintaining hygiene standards in storage areas. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels, orders, and shipping documentation. Assist in the preparation of weekly or monthly reports on warehouse performance and activities.
