Job Advert: Freelance Site Manager - New Build Drive-Through Fast-Food Development (Civils) Location: Dumfries Pay Rate: £310 per day Duration: 14 weeks Start Date: 3rd February We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the civils phase of an exciting new build drive-through fast-food development in Dumfries. You must be able to do a bit of Setting out. This project will involve managing the construction of a car park, setting out, and laying the foundations for the new building. Role Responsibilities: Oversee all site activities and ensure they are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring efficient delivery of works. Take responsibility for site safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Supervise the setting out for the car park and building foundations. Liaise with the client, consultants, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth communication and project progress. Conduct site inductions and daily briefings. Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of site activities. Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager in civils and groundworks projects, ideally including fast-food or commercial developments. Strong knowledge of setting out, foundation works, and car park construction. Valid SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid certification. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Own transport and flexibility to work on-site in Dumfries.
