Buying Admin Assistant
The location of the role is Paddington, London (hybrid working).
The duration of the contract is 12 months.
The pay rate on offer is £15 per hour.
The client is a multinational high-street retailer.
Key accountabilities and measures
* Product Set Up / Product Creation – Manage the product set up process across multiple brands to ensure that new products are ready to go live on time for launch. This will include taking responsibility for product data and overseeing the process for two websites.
* Critical Path Management – Ensure the critical path is up to date at each stage of product creation process from system creation to products going live onsite, ensuring data accuracy at all stages.
* Product Go Live - Ownership of newness tracking including investigating and resolving issues with product go-live, working across teams to identify and solve any blockers.
* Query Resolution – Work closely with partner teams (finance, operations, marketing, eCommerce) to resolve any buying related queries in a timely manner (e.g.: price discrepancies, product data issues)
* Range Plan Management – Ensure the range plan acts as a single source of truth reflecting the product range accurately and efficiently to meet buy deadlines
* Marketing / Samples – Request and organise samples for marketing and e-commerce photoshoots
Key skills
* Microsoft Office Suite – Strong proficiency in Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
* Time & Expectation Management – Ability to work with line manager to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines
* Attention to Detail – Strong attention to detail ensuring all product information and inventory management information is accurate
* Multitasking – Ability to handle various administrative tasks at once without compromising on quality
* Product Knowledge – knowledge and understanding of product categories and trends in the Sportswear market would be beneficial
* Retail Management Software – Experience with SAP / Netsuite or similar for order processing and stock management would be beneficial
* Product File Management – Experience in updating and maintaining product data (pricing, descriptions, prices) in databases would be beneficial
* Process Coordination – Ability to manage work and stakeholders across different departments (e.g.: Buying & Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, eCommerce, Finance)
