JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative Supervisor
LOCATION: National Galleries
PAY RATE: £14.22 ph
HOURS: 42 Hours
Monday to Thursday 11am - 9pm and Friday 5pm - 9pm
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Working supervisor/day janitor role that includes cleaning duties. Supervising the cleaning of office/art gallery premises for a prestigious client, which includes washrooms, kitchens, and surrounding areas.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Supervising staff, stock ordering, payroll, inventory list management.
2. Hoovering/mopping, cleaning washrooms and kitchens.
3. Carrying out deep cleans as required and using buffers and carpet cleaners – training provided.
4. Ensuring premises are safe and disinfected regularly.
5. Removing waste, replenishing consumables and supplies, and attending to reactive jobs (spillages).
6. Providing customer service while working alongside the client and client’s staff.
Person Specification:
1. Must be well presented and a good communicator.
2. Must have a can-do attitude and polite, approachable demeanor.
3. Hardworking and proactive with a good timekeeping and attendance record.
Essential:
1. Previous cleaning experience preferred with a focus on supervising work and prioritizing workload.
2. Strong customer service/care and leadership skills.
3. Problem-solving and time management skills desired.
4. Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative.
5. Flexible and proactive attitude essential.
6. Understanding and knowledge of health and safety policies.
7. Needs to represent ABM values on site by being presentable, uniformed, and helpful at all times; willing to go the extra mile.
8. Always follow company policies and procedures.
9. Ensure that the work environment and equipment are safe and well-maintained.
10. Identify and correct hazardous conditions.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Always follow group and company policies and procedures.
2. Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
3. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
4. Report any issues or training needs to your line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
