Salary: £29,000-£31,000 depending on experience and qualifications

About the Position:
We have a current opening for an Electrical/Electronics Assembly Technician. The role involves cable assembly, wiring, functional bench-testing, some fault finding and re-work of populated PCBs, and assisting in the maintenance and development of internal documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Cable assembly/wiring of electro-mechanical devices including PLCs
2. PCB testing and re-work
3. Bench-testing in accordance with written test procedures
4. Maintenance and improvement of internal documentation and systems
5. Diagnosing faults
6. Reviewing and improving test documents and Standard Operating Procedures
7. Final assembly of electronics-based products
8. To be aware of company health and safety requirements
9. To complete work to the appropriate industry standards and to internal quality standards
Qualifications and Skills:

Required:
1. Relevant qualifications and/or experience
2. Sound understanding of basic in-circuit components
3. Ability to understand and follow simple wiring and circuit diagrams
4. Working knowledge of digital and analogue electronics and systems
5. High level of practical experience in a test and manufacturing environment
6. Ability to use test equipment – e.g. DMMs, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies
7. Good PCB fault finding skills
8. Excellent ability with soldering/re-work of surface mount and through hole components
9. Positive mindset and self-motivated approach to work
10. Methodical approach to problem solving
Preferred:
1. Good computer literacy, including Microsoft applications
