We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher to join the teaching team at Finlay Community School. This is a permanent, full-time position, with a start date of 1st September 2025.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work.
2. Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
3. Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
4. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
5. Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
6. Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. Experience of teaching in EYFS or Key Stage One (preferred, but not essential).
3. Passionate and has a good understanding of teaching and learning based on evidence-based practice.
4. Demonstrates good understanding and empathy of children with complex additional needs.
5. Builds strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.
6. Flexible, hardworking, and positive.
7. Well-organised and a team player.
8. Professional and willing to seek and act on advice.
