Primary Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with the Site Manager to help ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
2. Liaise with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce Electrical Installation Specifications.
3. Manage day-to-day site subcontract labor, reviewing RAMS, and coordinating site work permits including LOTO.
4. Review technical drawings and distribute information to electrical installation supervisors.
5. Manage the storage and safe distribution of installation materials and instrumentation.
6. Liaise with CAD engineer to document proposed routing of cable containment for client approval.
7. Liaise with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce installation planning documents, then monitor and record installation progress against them.
8. Identify and correctly install instrumentation from the design package, advising the mechanical installation team of best installation practices, including but not limited to:
1. Magnetic flowmeters
2. Coriolis flowmeters
3. Pressure transmitters
4. Temperature transmitters
9. Ensure that all electrical requirements of the design package, issued at the start of the installation, are met.
10. Prepare site commissioning file, complete with construction status electrical drawings.
11. Assist with power-up procedure once installation is complete.
12. Lead setup and I/O testing of devices (valves, VSDs, instruments) in liaison with software engineer and provide process commissioning support.
13. Assist the client with power-up procedure once installation is complete.
14. Liaise with the Electrical Project Engineer to provide technical solutions to any issues raised onsite with the installation.
15. Support sales by surveying the site in conjunction with electrical contractors to carry out concept design and obtain quotes.
16. Troubleshoot existing systems as required by customers and provide solutions.
Preferred Experience:
1. Good understanding of UK legislation, including BS7671.
2. Experience with instrumentation applications including but not limited to: flow, level, pressure, temperature, weight, and analytical systems.
3. Experience managing subcontract labor for large projects.
4. A good understanding of electrical and P&I drawings.
5. A good understanding of the beverage industries including all relevant regulations and certifications.
6. Experience with hazardous area applications, zoning, calculations, and especially installation of wiring systems.
7. A good understanding of control bus systems, ASI, Profibus, and industrial Ethernet networks.
Qualifications:
1. HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant industry experience.
Location:
Mainly UK, with occasional travel abroad.
Experience:
1. 7+ years of experience in the hygienic process installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
2. Ability to attend client meetings and record minutes of the meeting.
3. Installation of Process Instrumentation.
4. Generation of project documentation (Installation Schedule & I/O Commissioning Documents).
5. AutoCAD & Microsoft Office literate.
6. Control Panel Testing.
7. Hazardous Area Installation (Zone 22).
