Take a look at our website here to learn more about why we’re one of the leading global Cyber Security and Risk Mitigation business… https://www.nccgroup.com/uk/ The Opportunity: The principal responsibilities of the Cash and Bank Assistant are to post all cash transactions and reconcile all bank statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. The role involves dealing with queries from internal divisional finance teams with necessary follow up to obtain a satisfactory resolution. Key Accountabilities: Posting the cash transactions in Workday for all bank accounts within the UK, US, EU, Singapore, and Australia, including: Banking and posting cheques. Ensuring inter-company cash transfers are correctly posted and allocated, liaising with divisional Corporate Accountants where appropriate. Resolving various cash transactions queries including: Liase with Credit Control for missing remittance advice for bank receipts and ensuring the customer pays into the correct bank account. Tracking and resolving unallocated payments/receipts. Resolving and assisting with the maintenance of the Finance Operations inbox. Preparing month end bank reconciliations for review for multiple bank accounts and entities across the Group. Provide cover for other duties performed within the team including payments. Process and controls: Ensuring that cash transactions are recorded and reconciled in an efficient and accurate manner. Ensuring that processes and controls are adhered to. Minimum Requirements : Must have a valid in date passport for bank access Experience of working in a finance environment and/or knowledge of accounting from study perspective. Comfortable working a large company environment, working to tight deadlines and responding to the needs of the business on a timely basis. There is a high demand for accuracy within the business, an eye for detail and getting things right first time. The ability to form close working relationships and communicate with team members/other finance individuals/departments. Have a proactive mind-set and be a natural self-starter. Strong analytical and numerical abilities. The ability to work as part of a team. Good levels of communication in verbal and written form. Good Excel skills. Focused on accuracy and self-checking. Manages pressure and copes well with demands from a number of different stakeholders. Ability to organise own workload to meet deadlines.
