Data, Exams and Admin Assistant
37 hours a week, term time only plus 10 days (permanent)
BS7 – £27.711 - £28.684 per annum pro rata
The successful candidate will be a team player, have a pleasant and efficient manner and good inter-personal skills. Of greater importance, you will have a critical eye for detail, high levels of literacy, the ability to work independently and the ability to assimilate information accurately and quickly.
You should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel). Experience of SIMS (the school’s information management system) would be an advantage but training will be available as required.
This is a split role, with the successful applicant working each morning with the Data and Exams Manager and each afternoon in the school’s main office with general school administration. Forming an excellent working partnership with the Data Manager and the Deputy Head (Curriculum) is another critical aspect of the role.
The key duties of the Data and Exams Assistant will be to work as directed by and in support of the Data and Examinations Manager:
* Day to day administration of the school’s data systems and processes in accordance with the reporting schedule
* As directed, administer all aspects of the school’s examination procedures ensuring compliance with JCQ, Ofqual and all awarding body requirements
* Liaise with a wide range of colleagues to harvest and process information essential to the operation of the school’s data and examinations systems
* Help the Data and Examinations Manager to run both internal mock exams and external public exams smoothly and efficiently.
The key duties for the Admin Assistant include:
* Administration of pupil school admissions
* Support main office with reception duties
* Contact parents/carers and other outside agencies
* Liaise with Heads of Year and other pastoral staff
* Act as nominated First Aider
* Undertake any other duties defined as within the nature and responsibilities for grade of the post.
