Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer C++ to develop desktop solutions for planning activities on various weapon systems. You will be part of a key team responsible for integrating products into third-party planning applications, as well as working on diagnostic and maintenance tools, and bespoke software components for launchers. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the project team in the design, development, and validation activities for a mission planning application. Perform a comprehensive range of engineering tasks in accordance with company processes and standards. Take ownership of specific features and ensure their successful implementation. Engage in system integration activities within a virtual test environment, as well as with representative and deliverable hardware. Depending on the engineer's skills and experience, the role may involve participation in the entire development lifecycle, from architectural specification to testing and verification. Support the production of project documentation. What do you need?: Proficient in the design, development, and validation of complex software products. Skilled in communicating technical issues with engineers and stakeholders across various disciplines. Experienced in working as part of a collaborative Agile team. Well-versed in software development practices and processes. Familiar with a range of CI/CD/DevOps toolsets, particularly Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins. Strong knowledge of C++ is mandatory, with additional knowledge of Core Java being desirable. What happens now?
