Care Assistant/ Support Workers Location: Lisburn Care type: Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and complex needs. (Respite Care) Salary/Hourly Rate: £12.14- £13.35 (Enhanced rate for additional hours) Hours of Work: Full Time Positions-Permanent (36hrs) Shifts are on a rotational basis and are typically 8am-8pm, 3 days per week, with one full weekend off in three. Benefits: Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks in each leave year (inclusive of public and bank holidays), increasing with length of service, up to 33 days per year. Paid breaks. Health Cashback Scheme. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure all work is service user-focused, upholding respect, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, independence, and choice. Orientate new service users to the residential scheme and the local community. Deliver individual support programs, including social and domestic guidance, personal hygiene, and community living skills. Assist senior staff with the assessment of service users' needs. Report any changes or concerns about service users to the line manager. Participate in monitoring and reviewing service users' skills and needs. Establish goals with service users to ensure effective use of their resources. Support the physical and personal needs of service users. Ensure medication is managed via Medication Policy. Ensure service users' opinions and suggestions are heard and their personal problems addressed sensitively.
