The Develop Directorate is a high profile, exciting and fast paced area that is responsible for delivering an adaptable military capability and creating a first-class project control and management functions across a diverse and complex military capability portfolio to support our operational commitments. It leads the development of the Royal Navy�s future warfighting capability and acts as the platform to deliver a modern, global and ready Royal Navy. It acts as the thought leaders for the Royal Navy (RN), leading the development of the RN�s future warfighting capability and acting as the Design Authority for RN capabilities of the future to achieve the optimum mix of present and future warfighting technologies for a modern, global and ready RN.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast paced, agile environment and will need to have a flexible approach to enable rapid delivery to respond to priorities as they emerge. This role offers opportunities for the right person to make a real difference to the front line of the RN.
To enable the delivery the capabilities required to enable the effective, efficient control and denial of access to the Maritime Battlespace; these capabilities will be delivered considering existing and emerging capabilities across all the Defence Lines of Development (DLODs).

Job description
The Navy SPECAP Capability Manager is responsible for the management, oversight and identification of UK SAPs and the provision of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to planning and support advice to capability and operational ares. This will include but not be limited to partners across the RN, Coalition partners, Partners Across Government (PAG) and single Services.
Responsibilities
SAP Capability Management on behalf of the SPECAP Team Leader (TL).
You will advise on Special Access Programme (SAP) management, security, development and apportionment.
You will provide security, assurance and operational advice and feedback as required. As capacity allows you will liaise with relevant external authorities and industry regarding the development and capability requirements. In order to do this you will liaise with various stakeholders.
You will provide knowledge and business continuity within the RN SPECAP Organisation.

Essential
Evidence of strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with a proven track record of engaging and managing multiple stakeholders, tailoring messages appropriately, influencing others and gaining their agreement or cooperation.
Attention to detail discretion and ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources and provide recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communications skills with evidence of the ability to brief effectively and produce clear written briefs and reports.
Experience of working with and implementing security processes.
Desirable
Experience of portfolio management, working in diverse across a complex environment with multiple programmes and outputs.
Experience of working in TS STRAP environments would be beneficial.
