Role: Sales Engineer/Business Development
Location: Northwest - Blackburn
Salary: £40 - 50k basic + profit related bonus
Benefits: Company car, phone & laptop
Hours: Mon-Fri days. Hybrid working is also an option.
My client is a leading Steel Stockholder, currently looking to strengthen the team with the addition of a Business Development professional.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Drive new business by identification and research into new sales opportunities.
2. Build and maintain contact databases.
3. Establish contact and develop relationships with prospects.
4. Maintain relationships with existing clients.
5. Provide regular, ongoing information on new products and services.
6. Actively follow up on all quotations raised and provide feedback.
7. Gather general customer feedback, market activities, and competitor information.
8. Contribute to sales team effort by meeting individual and team sales targets & Gross Margin targets.
9. Promote all products along with added value services.
10. Process orders on the system and follow orders through from start to completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Be confident on the telephone with existing and potential clients.
2. Be confident in new business meetings face to face.
3. Be enthusiastic and energetic.
4. Be motivated to sell and driven to meet personal and team targets.
5. Ideally from a steel profiling/Fabrication/Manufacturing background.
6. Experience with fabrication and engineering drawings is a distinct advantage.
