Job Description Cloud Architect Remote working Full Time – 37.5 hours per week We are seeking to optimise our established Cloud deployment, built on Azure, to provide an AI-augmented agile cloud platform that responds quickly to demand from service users, making it “easy to do business” with Ramsay – for patients, clinicians and partners. Working alongside colleagues in our “Digital & Technology” function, along with trusted partners in the infrastructure, data, integration, and AI spaces, you will have great opportunities to lead and shape the future of Ramsay. The role As Cloud Architect, you will maintain the cloud platform and the roadmaps of adding new cloud capabilities and collaborate with the business on the adoption of solution designs servicing both clinical and technology areas using cloud platform services and tools. What you will do Govern and manage the cloud architecture for all existing and new services and/or platforms Design and build end-to-end cloud architectures. Reduce the “time to market” for business initiatives to providing digital technology solutions based on native (Azure) commoditised cloud services and capabilities Understand and recommend utilisation of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS and SaaS) based on business requirements to simplify business application architecture and operating models. What you will bring You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the “Azure cloud adoption” and “Azure well-architected” frameworks and possess prior experience of scaled cloud migration datacentre exit programmes. Knowledge of architecture models, principles and standards (TOGAF, Zachman), project management (waterfall, agile) and service management (ITIL) lifecycle is essential however Azure cloud certification and exposure to cloud providers (AWS, Azure), service models, diverse technical configurations, technologies and cloud platform services is preferred. Experience with the following is highly desirable: Infrastructure as Code (Bicep), CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Version Control (Git), Scripting (PowerShell, and Azure CLI), and Automation (PowerAutomate). Entra ID user accounts, groups, app registrations, single sign-on, managed identities, role-based access control, connect, B2B sync, and multi-tenant management. Hub and spoke virtual network topologies, virtual WAN, secured hubs with Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN, and Network Virtual Appliances (Meraki SD-WAN). Front Door and Web Application Firewall, including custom domains and DNS, origin groups, origins, compression, caching, log inspection, and exception management. App Services (Web, API, Container, Function, Logic, Static), API Management, Service Bus, Databases (SQL, MySQL), Key Vault, Storage Account, and Application Insights. Data Factory, Databricks (Unity Catalog, SCIM Provisioning, Permissions, Delta Sharing, multi-workspace management), Storage Account (Data Lake), and PowerBI. Virtual Machines, Bastion, Flow Logging, Log Analytics Workspaces, Event Hub, Diagnostic settings, Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Private Endpoints. Azure AI Services.
