Our journey so far has progressed the Company with steady consistent re investment to the future.\nWe are a dynamic fast growing, construction business and are currently seeking an enthusiastic, flexible individual who can help facilitate the efficient delivery of our construction projects on the Building Services and Electrical side of the business. \n\nDuring your time working as a Graduate Apprentice with us, you will: \n\n- Assist with and provide Take offs\n\n- Producing Bill of Quantities\n\n- Material costings and ordering\n\n- Sub contractor tenders and placement\n\n- Assist with main tender submissions\n\n- Contract implementation\n\n- Cost analysis\n\n- Understand building process\n\n- Understanding / producing and maintaining programmes of contracts and PPMâs etc\n\n- Producing quotations\n\n- Learning client and supplier various portals and processes\n\n- Contract Administration\n\n- H&S Implementation As a Graduate Apprentice you will study for your degree alongside your job, spending approximately 80% of your time in work and 20% in university. This unique combination offers an integrated experience, where practical skills and knowledge gained during the university days can be embedded in your working practices. Skills learned directly in the workplace are aligned with and can be applied to coursework and assessment. This allows you to attain an honours degree in 4 years, the same time as traditional full-time students. \n\nYou will study on a Graduate Apprenticeship degree programme towards a BSc (Hons) Construction & the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier University. \n\nQuantity Surveying - learn the skills involved in design economics, procurement strategies, cost planning and estimating, measurement and quantification of construction work, commercial management and professional practice.\n\nAs you progress through the course, more of your job role will be used to gain credit towards your final award. This is captured in the Professional Practice modules which allow us to personalise your learning to ensure it meets your needs, those of your employing organisation and the university. To meet our Standard Entry Requirements you must have EITHER: \n\n- A minimum of four SQA Highers at Grade BBCC (including Maths) plus Nat 5 English at B\n\n- A Foundation Apprenticeship in a related discipline plus suitable academic qualifications\n\n- A Modern Apprenticeship or college qualification in in a related discipline \n\n- Sufficient recognition of prior learning (RPL) through industry-related experience, qualifications, and informal learning. RPL applications are considered on an individual basis\n\nYou must be able to provide proof of any qualifications stated on your CV to meet university entry requirements. \n\nAdvanced entry into Year 2 or 3 is possible for students with suitable qualifications. If applying for advanced entry, you will need to provide sufficient evidence of qualifications and experience through our process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
