Job overview
To provide a flexible, high quality responsive and comprehensive building maintenance service ensuring that the structure and fabric of the Trust's assets are maintained to an acceptable standard.
We are looking for a suitable applicant to join our Estate Management Team that maintains and develops a substantial estate at one of the country’s foremost Teaching Foundation Trusts.
Main duties of the job
Duties will involve the undertaking of major repairs and maintenance across this site. Duties will also include carrying out regular inspection of plant and equipment whilst ensuring irregularities are promptly reported.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Joinery

* Must demonstrate an active commitment to quality and customer service.
* Must be self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision.
* Understand the value of customer service and how to achieve this.
* Commitment to good customer service.
* Interpret and convert works instructions, specifications, drawings and customer requirements into effective outcomes.
Experience
* A competent tradesman, producing quality work consistently, whilst also providing VFM. Ability to extend this role across other building related trades.
* Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of versatility and flexibility across the full spectrum of building related trades, in construction, renovation and maintenance.
* This includes inter alia the ability to work with a variety of related materials, brick laying, plastering and painting trades.
* Full working knowledge and application of Trust and departmental policies and procedures as they relate to the sphere of the work.
* Experience in woodwork and machinery.
* Experience in Healthcare establishments.
