We seek a dynamic, hands-on Regional Operations Manager to join our team and lead our service managers and teams across multiple sites, ensuring operational and commercial objectives are met and CQC regulatory compliance is maintained.
Role Overview
As the Regional Operations Manager, you will inspire and guide service managers and their teams, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met and exceeded. Your leadership will drive performance, foster a transparent culture, and support continuous improvement. You will be responsible for regulatory compliance, strategic and operational oversight, and the professional development of your teams, working alongside them to understand and achieve individual and collective goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance across all sites in your region, meeting CQC standards and promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
* Operational Excellence: Provide hands-on operational leadership, managing staffing, deployment, cost control, and recruitment to maintain and improve service quality.
* Team Development: Lead, coach, and mentor service managers to deliver on Northern Healthcare’s strategic vision. Conduct appraisals, manage performance, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
* Clinical Oversight: Maintain clinical pathway oversight, ensuring appropriateness of placements for the people we support and robust risk management practices.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal teams (Clinical, HR, Finance, Business Development) and external partners, including commissioners, health professionals, and housing partners.
* Governance & Quality Assurance: Oversee governance mechanisms, assuring the executive team that quality standards are achieved. Support the operations management team in monitoring service quality.
* Growth & Business Development: Collaborate with business development to drive occupancy and income growth, screening new referrals, coordinating clinical assessments, and making placement decisions.
* Change Management: Manage change positively within the region, driving growth and ensuring service evolution aligns with Northern Healthcare’s strategic goals.
* Professional Development: Develop your practice through supervision and appraisal, ensuring your continuous professional development needs are identified and met. Proactively seek and complete relevant training to keep your skills and knowledge current and aligned with the requirements of the role.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior leadership and management role, ideally within health or social care.
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulatory standards.
* Demonstrated success in operational management within a health or social care setting.
* Financial acumen to oversee and manage budgets effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative environment.
* Strong observational and problem-solving skills with an eye for continuous improvement.
* Resilient under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
