Water Treatment Engineer key duties:
· Perform all aspects of water hygiene and treatment, including water sampling, TMV servicing, temperature monitoring, tank cleaning, disinfection of domestic services, descaling of shower heads, and closed system testing.
· Ensure full compliance with current legislation and health and safety standards.
· Assist the equipment department with the commissioning of water treatment equipment.
· Communicate with customers and the operations team to keep everyone informed about job progress and report any issues.
· Supervise and train less experienced water treatment engineers.
· Identify opportunities for additional remedial work or potential leads for the company.
· Maintain up-to-date water hygiene knowledge and inform the company of any training needs.
· Working 1 in 3 weekends paid as additional overtime
Water Treatment Engineer qualifications & experience:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role required.
· Strong understanding of HSG274 and ACOP L8 is highly desirable.
· Plumbing or electrical qualification, or relevant experience, is beneficial.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook needed.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
· Knowledge of water softeners, chlorine dioxide units, UV systems, and chemical dosing plants is advantageous.
