The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall responsibility for the design, electrical specification and installation standard of electrical equipment for all new Capital, Maintenance and upgrading work. Understanding of the operating principles of the site electrical equipment. Understanding of practical problem solving, process and plant maintenance and modification, installation and commissioning of processing equipment. Understanding of COSHH and risk assessments. Understanding of spillage and waste disposal procedures. Understanding of near miss/incident reporting procedures. Understanding of site safety and emergency procedures. Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GMP (where applicable). Competence in working at height and confined space entry. Competence in Permit Acceptance. Lead Electrical Engineer Responsibilities Responsible for the organisation and operation of the electrical department and all electrical services covering supply maintenance and new capital work. Project work - responsible for the design, specification, and installation of all electrical equipment for new capital, maintenance and upgrading work and controlling expenditure within authorized budgets. Maintenance operations - responsible for the provision, operation and development of all maintenance and planned preventative maintenance systems and the development and training of in-house personnel. Utilities management - responsible for negotiating price structures, services and maintenance contracts from electrical and telecommunication providers and implementing supply arrangements. Management - Control of expenditure and resources within authorised budgets to meet required targets for plant operation, and provision of technical advice on electrical matters.
