What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated teacher to lead SEND at Holy Family from September 2025. This non-class-based position will be spread over 3 or 4 working days and will include some teaching responsibilities. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the development of the curriculum and will have dedicated management time to ensure effective oversight and implementation of SEND initiatives.
We are looking for someone who has:
• an understanding and respect for the Catholic ethos of our school
• a record of good or outstanding classroom practice
• high standards and expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
• highly competent teacher
• has the ability to observe, assess and plan for children’s individual development especially for pupils with additional needs
• excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• national SENCO Award accreditation or willingness to undertake this award within two years
• a vision to really drive SEND provision and inclusion forward at Holy Family
