An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Decision Support team at our Head Office in Bedford, who are responsible for providing analysis and other management information to decision makers/stakeholders across all business areas, allowing leaders from all functions to make informed business decisions.
As a Decision Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the business’ growth through delivering timely, accurate and insightful data and MI products and services.
This role supports the business in delivering against industry KPI’s. It’s a role that really allows you to understand how the business works and what makes it successful. The reporting and analysis performed by the decision support team is essential in ensuring Copart continues to succeed, by having the right data and MI at the right time.
You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, to deliver accurate and insightful information across the business.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Preparing data and MI to support and guide decision making with scheduled and ad-hoc reports to internal and external stakeholders.
2. Developing solutions to improve the delivery and consistency of data and MI.
3. Reviewing and auditing data to ensure it is correct; raising issues and areas for action as required.
4. Completing ad-hoc requests for data from across the business.
5. Providing input and support in the development, testing and implementation of new and enhanced reporting systems.
What we need from you:
1. Advanced Excel skills to manipulate, manage, analyse and present data, including knowledge and experience with pivot tables, macros and Excel functions (such as VLOOKUPS, INDEX, MATCH, COUNTIF, IF).
2. SQL or similar programming languages.
3. Commercial Modelling and Pricing Experience.
4. Business partnering skills.
5. Capable of producing, explaining and presenting accurate dashboards, reports and other outputs (tables, charts, slides etc.) in an accurate, user-friendly and consistent manner, with good presentation.
6. Strong analytical skills and an ability to apply these to a broad range of commercial issues.
7. Planning, coordination and organizational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
8. Good communication skills, confident working with all levels across the business.
9. Team player with a can-do attitude.
10. Excellent attention to detail.
11. Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting and periodic reporting.
12. Undergraduate degree, first time passes in accountancy exams and/or good A levels or A level equivalents.
