Amazon Freight is a newly launched external facing freight service by Amazon. It allows both small and large businesses to use Amazon to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven service currently growing rapidly in Europe with the aim of revolutionizing the B2B delivery and Inbound experience.
We are looking to hire a Business Developer position, responsible for driving volume growth in the Inbound part of business building relationships with internal Customers and exploiting internal opportunities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building this new function and should be highly analytical, customer obsessed, have experience in a commercial role and be ready to roll up their sleeves to grow this business. The successful candidate will need to partner with Commercial, Product and Marketing teams to improve Inbound Customer experience as well as with Supply Chain leaders to deliver long-term benefits for Amazon Network. This is a brand new role so there will be a high degree of ambiguity and the candidate will contribute to shape the full scope.
Key job responsibilities
1. Nurture and grow relationships with internal customers (Vendor Managers, Supply Chain Managers, etc.) and achieve volume goals with best-in-class service.
2. Build and maintain a high level of engagement and partnership with multiple stakeholders and proactively identify challenges they are facing as well as suggest creative solutions.
3. Explore opportunities and benefits beyond Amazon Freight and how we can contribute to the success of the broad Amazon network.
A day in the life
This role is all about clear communication and building robust mechanisms to engage stakeholders. You’ll be in daily contact with the internal partners you manage to make sure they are aware of how Amazon Freight can benefit their business and together explore new business opportunities. You will also need to understand the Amazon Inbound Network and how Amazon Freight can contribute to improve the Customer experience as well as to deliver best-in-class delivery services.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business.
2. Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
3. Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
4. Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
2. Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services.
