We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work-life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s. We’re one of the biggest supermarkets in the UK with one of the largest websites. So marketing here really happens at scale. We move a lot faster than you’d think too, across Brand Planning, Brand Comms and Creative, Digital Marketing, CRM and Loyalty, Nectar 360, Insights, and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
What you'll do
As the Ecommerce Art Director at Sainsbury's, you will lead the execution of all visual content for our ecommerce platforms, collaborating closely with stylists, photographers, videographers, and set builders to create engaging and on-brand visuals that enhance customer engagement and drive conversions. Your expertise in set design, art direction, and interior styling will be crucial in bringing creative visions to life, ensuring that the final designs align with both creative and logistical requirements while adhering to brand photography guidelines. Additionally, you will oversee pre-production planning, studio space organisation, shoot scheduling, stakeholder communication, creative leadership, and post-shoot support to maintain high standards across all projects and drive continuous improvement in the studio environment.
Who you are
As the Ecommerce Art Director for Sainsbury's JD Commerce, you are a seasoned creative professional with a keen eye for design and a passion for bringing visual concepts to life in a studio environment. With a strong background in interior design, product photography, and art direction, you excel in creating visually compelling imagery that resonates with customers and drives engagement. Your blend of creative vision, practical skills, and project management expertise enables you to lead and inspire your team to deliver high-quality visual content that aligns with brand guidelines and enhances the overall customer experience.
We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer so you’ll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work. Around here, there’s always the chance to try something new — whether that’s as part of an evolving team or somewhere else across the business - and we take development seriously and promise to support you. We also recognise and celebrate colleagues when they go the extra mile and, where possible, offer flexible working. When you join our team, we’ll also offer you an amazing range of benefits.
