To support our continued growth, we require a Marketing Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the marketing department. The Marketing Operations Manager will help to build our brand, improve awareness of our service offering, and promote The DPO Centre as a great place to work.
The role will ensure the efficient execution of our marketing strategies by managing processes, technology, and data. They oversee marketing automation, campaign performance tracking, budget management, and compliance with regulations. This role also involves collaborating with our various teams to align efforts to our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing operations, a detail-oriented mindset, previous management experience, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, have the ability to prioritise workloads, and work in a structured manner. You will be able to demonstrate experience and a talent for developing and implementing B2B marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
You will have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders alongside numerous dynamic initiatives, as well as an inherent ability to recognise and develop commercial opportunities. Academic qualifications are of interest; however, experience, especially from within compliance or professional services, will be considered of greater significance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Campaign Management:
* Assist in the planning, execution, and optimisation of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure campaigns are executed on time and within budget.
* Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to ensure we stay ahead of industry trends and inform constant improvement in our marketing strategies.
* Segment and manage customer and lead databases to ensure accurate targeting.
* Oversee the management of email marketing campaigns to ensure high deliverability and engagement rates.
* Manage and monitor event planning to ensure all pre and post event actions are considered and actioned.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
* Track and analyse key marketing metrics, such as conversion rates, ROI, and customer acquisition costs.
* Generate regular reports for the marketing team and senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
* Manage our resources to ensure data cleanliness and accuracy of our CRM data and other marketing tools.
Process Improvement:
* Identify inefficiencies in current marketing operations and suggest improvements.
* Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Work closely with the commercial team to ensure alignment on lead generation and ongoing prospect nurturing.
Technology Management:
* Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of our marketing tools and technologies.
* Provide training and support to team members on the use of our marketing software.
* Troubleshoot issues with marketing tools and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
Collaboration & Communication:
* Act as a key point of contact between the marketing operations team and other departments, including commercial, project management, and delivery.
* Ensure clear communication and collaboration between all stakeholders involved in marketing projects.
* Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions.
Budget Management:
* Assist in the management of the marketing budget, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenditures.
* Coordinate with vendors and manage contracts, invoices, and purchase orders.
Compliance & Governance:
* With the assistance of our DPO, ensure all marketing activities comply with data protection regulations and required industry standards.
Team Management:
* Take responsibility for line management of the digital marketing team.
* Assist HR in reviewing CVs to identify appropriate candidates.
* Contribute to relevant interview processes.
* Conduct probation reviews and provide appropriate support to ensure new joiners have all they need to perform their role effectively.
* Monitor team performance and report on KPIs.
* Manage team performance and people management, including issues with underperformance, supported by HR.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education and experience:
* 5+ years of experience in marketing operations or a similar role.
* Proficiency with marketing automation tools and CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot).
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
Personal:
* An enthusiastic team player with a ‘Can Do’ approach and resilient attitude.
* Confident, outgoing and highly organised, with drive, initiative and enthusiasm.
* A willingness to learn, work hard, contribute to the team and develop new skills.
Experience:
* Experience in B2B marketing operations.
* Familiarity with digital marketing channels and strategies.

* Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

* Knowledge of the GDPR and UK/EU Data Protection Regulations.
