We are looking for a seasoned marketing leader to join our team as the global Head of Marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B software marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth under lean, resource-efficient, scalable models.
Essential Functions
1. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to create and channel demand for Software AG’s core offerings.
2. Collaborate with the BU’s Product Marketing function to ensure a single view of the market trends and needs.
3. Drive consensus around the market segments, ideal client profiles, use cases, and customer benefits.
4. Define and execute the company's brand positioning and messaging strategy.
5. Ensure high levels of demand generation, lead creation, and nurturing.
6. Drive user-community marketing to nurture adoption of our technologies.
7. Balance focus on agreed niche market segments with the rest of the addressable market.
8. Advocate for ecosystem plays and partnering with relevant market players.
9. Drive the development of compelling content and marketing collateral.
10. Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics and KPIs.
11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity.
12. Take responsibility for our positioning with market Analysts.
13. Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals.
Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with a strong background in software marketing.
3. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
4. Open-minded, collaborative, positive, ambitious mindset.
5. Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and tactics.
6. Strong analytical skills and experience using data-driven insights.
7. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
8. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and communicate a clear vision.
