Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a compassionate, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant in the Trafford area to join our school community, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Teaching Assistant working with SEN pupils, you will play a key role in supporting both the academic and personal development of children with a range of needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve working one-to-one and in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher, helping to deliver adapted lessons and learning activities that cater to individual learning styles and abilities. You will also assist in developing and implementing personalised learning plans and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and will be responsible for monitoring progress and offering regular feedback. We are seeking someone who is calm, patient and nurturing, with a genuine desire to support children with additional needs. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential. While previous experience working with SEN children and a relevant qualifications are desirable, we also welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
