RAC have a brand-new opportunity for a Technical Pricing Analyst to join our Consumer Pricing team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a skilled and proactive individual to join our team to drive the successful delivery of our Consumer Pricing Strategy. Reporting to the Head of Technical Pricing, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of pricing initiatives across the division, working to maximize profitability. This role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in our Bradley Stoke offices, and three days at home. What You’ll Do… Your primary focus will be to formulate pricing actions which improve business performance and allow the business to deliver its objectives. The role will also require you to; Assist in the development and implementation of Consumer Pricing Strategy, driving profitability through pricing decisions and initiatives. Reconcile and validate datasets, ensuring efficient and accurate data processing, and explore new techniques/software to support data migration programs. Utilize statistical modelling software (e.g., Emblem, Python) to predict consumer behaviour (e.g., purchase propensity, claims, cancellations). Investigate and apply new modelling techniques to improve the predictiveness of the models. Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure proper deployment of customer-facing models. Conduct regular performance monitoring to ensure model predictions align with expectations and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Analyse price trial and competitor pricing data for customer behaviour insights, utilizing these alongside behavioural models to optimize pricing strategies. What You’ll Need… To be considered for this position, you will need a Mathematical related degree or an A-level Maths Grade A or above. Experience of insurance pricing or predictive modelling is desirable but not essential. You’ll also have; Strong stakeholder management experience with a demonstrable ability to build relationships based on credibility and trust with Exec, regulators and Group-wide stakeholders at all levels Finance acumen to build, track and deliver business cases Technical knowledge of pricing and analytical techniques. Highly numerate with strong analytical & problem-solving skills Ability to operate (and thrive) in fast-paced environments Experience of statistical modelling software (e.g. Emblem, R, python) advantageous, but not essential. Experience of optimisation software (e.g. Radar optimiser, Earnix) advantageous, but not essential.
