Our Estate Facilities and Scientific Services team are recruiting for a Building Services Engineer to join our site facilities team at our North Wyke site based near Okehampton, Devon. This a full time position, contributing to the delivery of world-leading scientific research.
The main duties will involve the planned preventive maintenance and repairs of a variety of systems. The candidate will also complete a wide variety of multi-skill building services tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will be qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering with NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent and have good relevant experience in a post apprenticeship role. Basic electrical/mechanical fault-finding experience and basic BMS experience is also preferable, however, training can be provided to support developing of knowledge in these areas.
The successful applicant will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision and will have a broad range of mechanical knowledge and experience. Good communication skills and the ability to make sound judgement and approach tasks logically are essential.
This is a permanent full-time position, salary to be discussed with the successful candidate.
