An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Aseptic team of the Pharmacy Department. Applicants are welcomed from registered Pharmacy Technicians and Science Manufacturing Technicians.
This is your opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team providing essential treatments to the people of North Cumbria.
This post is suitable for pre-registration pharmacy technicians qualifying Summer 2024.
Main Duties of the Job
The role is varied and will include:
* Co-ordination of day-to-day activities.
* Preparation of aseptically prepared products.
* Dispensing of outsourced parenteral products.
* Undertaking pre-process checking of assembled trays.
* In-process checking during preparation.
* Accuracy checking of dispensed parenteral products.
* Generating worksheets for aseptically prepared products.

Qualifications
* BTEC or equivalent with registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Essential IT Skills (EITS) or equivalent
* ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership
* Completed TSET Aseptic Processing Programme
* Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines Course - Leeds University
* Supervisory Skills for Aseptic Services - Leeds University
* Pre-process accuracy checking certificate

* At least 2 years experience of aseptic services
* Training other staff
