About the School
Carleton House Preparatory School is seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher to join our dedicated team, working three days per week with our Upper Key Stage 2 pupils. This exciting opportunity would suit an experienced teacher with a passion for excellence in education and a commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential. About the Role
The Role Includes:
* Teaching Year 6 and Year 5 curriculum, focusing on higher-ability English and Maths.
* Leading drama and public speaking initiatives, including preparation for drama performances and speech exams such as ESB (English Speaking Board).
* Supporting pupils in preparation for entrance exams and selective secondary school interviews.
* Contributing positively to our vibrant school life and ethos, including supporting arrangements for our whole school prize night.
We are looking for someone who has:
* A passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
* Excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly English and Maths.
* Extensive experience in teaching verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
* Experience in delivering personalised, targeted support to individuals and groups of pupils, and providing stretch and challenge to high-achieving learners to maximise their potential.
* A creative and innovative approach to learning, with the ability to lead engaging drama and public speaking activities.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Organisational skills to manage time, resources, and planning effectively.
