Role Overview:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with a range of additional needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – assisting with communication, sensory regulation, and structured learning.
Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) – supporting verbal and non-verbal communication through alternative communication methods.
Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs – helping students develop confidence, emotional resilience, and positive behavior strategies.
Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) – providing tailored support with daily routines, mobility, and specialist learning approaches.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions.
Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
