We are a part of the Department of Transport as the designated UK Vehicle Type Approval Authority. This is a diverse role that will see you involved in a variety of tasks and responsibilities in the Vehicle Certification Agency’s Finance Team. As a key member of the transaction team, you will process all expense claims received from members of staff, via the VCA’s expense software. Accuracy in your work will be essential to ensure Agency guidance is met and any enquiries are managed efficiently and effectively.
As a link to colleagues in our UK and overseas offices, you will need to confidently engage with them daily, in-person and online, to help with a range of finance related matters. Your responsibilities will require you to manage conflicting priorities, in a fast-paced environment, and respond to situations that may require you to challenge, with input from your team and peers, to ensure processes are carried out correctly and fairly.

Your main duties will include but will not be limited to:
* Checking of expense claims to ensure they meet Agency guidance
* Liaising with staff to help with queries relating to expenses
* Assisting with MyExpense administration
* Following up corporate credit card transactions for entry
* Assisting with corporate card administration including setting up new users
* Transferring all sales invoice data into our SUN accounting software and reconciling the data
* Processing all credit note requests
* Sending all sales invoices to customers via email and various online portals
* Monitoring the shared mailbox and answering queries precisely
* Assisting with process improvements including implementation of a new expense system
* Reporting discrepancies, mistakes, or potential fraud to senior management
* Researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
* Actioning various reporting and analysis requests from colleagues within VCA
