Key Accountabilities
To be responsible for the running of the maintenance engineering department.
Ensure maintenance engineers are trained and competent to carry out their duties and that the training is documented.
To introduce and manage a preventative maintenance programme for plant and equipment.
A hands on approach when working with the various teams within the business assisting in improving customer service, quality, safety, environmental performance and cost reductions.
Reduce process costs by recommending and introducing more effective processes, automating processes wherever possible.
Provide education/knowledge, training and support to all areas of the business with the objective of ensuring optimum use and availability of all company equipment, resources (inc gas, electricity & water) and facilities.
To develop and encourage an environment of continual improvement.

Employment, Educational and Professional Background
Ability to implement total productive maintenance techniques.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in a maintenance supervisory role.
Specific experience of an electrical manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage, as would a good educational background.
Competence in using Microsoft office.
