About the Role
Our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby, a state-of-the-art CIP plant producing premium quality chilled soups and sauces. The site currently employs around 200 people, whilst turning over £30 million. We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role within the senior leadership team (SLT), offering an exciting opportunity to manage relationships with our four key customers: M&S, Bol, Aldi, and Tesco.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead all customer interactions and communications, ensuring the maintenance and growth of key customer relationships.
2. Manage customer accounts handling ongoing commercial reporting, negotiations, and contract management.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, working proactively to address issues, challenge, and resolve conflicts.
4. Travel regularly to meet with customers.
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the NPD function and Process Manager, supporting costing and the site's ongoing programme of work.
6. Maintain a high level of commercial awareness and manage supply chain relationships, with a focus on detail and accuracy in reporting.
About You
You are an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in FMCG or factory environments. You thrive in fast-paced settings and have hands-on experience managing customer relationships and supply chain operations. With excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle conflict, you build strong, trusting relationships with both customers and internal teams. You are flexible and willing to travel to meet customers and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are consistently met and exceeded.
