Salary: Circa £40,000 - £48,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
In this newly created position, you will be responsible for supporting the Pensions Manager and the Senior Payroll Specialist with the day-to-day running of both areas and a range of project activities. For pensions, this includes support for the ongoing management of the pension schemes, death in service and income protection policies. For payroll, this includes support for the accurate running of the UK payroll as well as contributing to a number of improvement projects.
Pension:
* You will be supporting the Pension Manager on all aspects of the DB and DC pensions for MBDA UK employees.
* You will be responsible for supporting across a range of pension day-to-day activities and project activities. This may include responding to a range of pension queries raised by employees, HR colleagues and external stakeholders. This will involve explaining complex information in an easily accessible manner.
* You will be responsible for any data analysis and reporting required for pensions day-to-day activities as well as project work.
* You will actively seek to improve and streamline existing pension processes and be part of the design and development of new processes.
* You will support with the development and delivery of communications to employees around pensions and risk benefits.
* You will be responsible for a range of routine monthly and annual processes.
* You will work collaboratively with the broader UK HR team as well as external suppliers, so should have a clear and adaptable communication style to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Payroll:
* You will be responsible for supporting across a range of payroll day-to-day activities and project activities. This may include responding to a range of payroll-related queries raised by employees, HR colleagues and external stakeholders.
* You will be supporting in the data analysis and reporting required for payroll day-to-day activities as well as some project work.
* You will support the administration of payroll services, including leavers, repayments, unpaid leave and benefits.
What we're looking for:
* Essential: Previous experience of working in a pensions-focused role with knowledge of pension scheme arrangements (defined benefit and defined contribution)
* Awareness of pension-related legislation.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a payroll-focused role.
* Awareness of payroll-related legislation
* Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel. You must be comfortable in manipulating large datasets whilst maintaining data accuracy. Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
* Clear and adaptable communication style to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
* Initiative driven, with the ability to work independently.
