Business Development Manager needed to join our team on a permanent basis. The Opportunity: Join our Digital Platforms division as a Business Development Manager and partner with some of the world’s leading healthcare organizations. You will drive the division's growth by managing and expanding relationships with existing and prospective clients. This involves generating new business through inbound and outbound activities and overseeing the entire sales cycle. You will act as a consultant, understanding client needs and showcasing how our digital solutions can address their challenges. This role may require international travel for face-to-face client interactions. What You’ll Be Doing: Conduct research to identify the right prospects in target companies. On a daily basis, reach out to such senior prospects through all available channels, aiming to introduce and sell our services. Stay on their radar through creative, engaging, and compelling contact that is respectful of their status and time, to build long-term relationships so that we are front-of-mind when they need our solutions. Navigate the customer through our offerings, adapting your messaging, approach, and vocabulary to match each step of the customer journey. Effectively and proactively manage the long and multi-dimensional sales cycle which is typical of our industry (pharmaceuticals), our solutions (enterprise SaaS), and the sales style (consultative, often with multiple customer stakeholders within an organisation). Provide all the necessary support to move potential opportunities through the pipeline - answer objections, collate & compile answers to RFPs & RFIs, support pitches, ensure detailed SOWs. What We Want From You: A results-oriented mindset with a strong desire to win and contribute to commercial success. Dogged determination with great patience - reflecting the sale process, timelines, and consultative nature of our industry and sector. Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle - initial discovery calls, multiple software demonstrations, consultative support as the customer navigates their corporate buying process, and much more. All the relevant skills to support each step of the sales process - crafting persuasive intro messages, conversion from awareness to interest, excellent presentation and demo skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Skills & Experience: Business development, ideally within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. Experience selling technology solutions that require a consultative approach with multiple customer stakeholders is highly preferred. A love of technology - from software productivity models to advanced AI, our solutions embrace all of these, and so should you. Ability to demo technology platforms with a 'sales’ mindset, focussing on features, benefits, value, and the potential transformational impact it can have on the customers organisation. A passion for creating, building, and nurturing long-term client relationships. Demonstrated ability to employ a consultative approach to selling to senior corporate customers using multiple messaging models that evolve in line with the sales cycle. Energetic, driven, resilient, and passionate about delivering results. A proactive "can-do / win-win" attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role is based in our London office, with very occasional travel to Europe and the US for client meetings.
