Document Controller - Construction £27,000 to £37,500 Wetherby About: My client designs & fits out complex care environments with specialist equipment, fixtures & furniture, all backed up by ongoing servicing & maintenance support. They are looking to appoint a experienced Document Controller to join them on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all project documentation is registered, indexed, and stored according to the company's document control procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all drawings, specifications, reports, contracts, and other construction-related documents. Manage document flows, ensuring proper version control and timely dissemination to relevant team members. Manage latest issue of information is accurately filed and accessible to all project team members - both internally and externally Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure the accurate and timely distribution of documents. Serve as the point of contact for document-related queries from project stakeholders. Facilitate document retrieval for audits and inspections as required. Distribute documents to the relevant departments, contractors, and external parties in a timely manner. Maintain both electronic filing systems for all project documentation. Track and monitor the status of documents throughout the review and approval process. Ensure that all documents adhere to industry standards, contractual requirements, and project-specific guidelines. Implement document control procedures to ensure compliance with quality management systems Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other documentation as required. Support the project team in managing the technical and administrative aspects of the construction project. Track the progress of document reviews, approvals, and revisions to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain a project log of document revisions and ensure accurate record keeping for future reference. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience as a Document Controller, ideally in the construction industry / consultancy or related field. Experience with document control software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, 4 Projects or similar). Knowledge of construction processes, documentation requirements, and industry standards. Working Conditions: Full-time position. Office / Hybrid role to be agreed
